Each year, the Spark Invitational proudly supports a meaningful cause that uplifts and empowers those in need. Our focus is on initiatives that create real impact, strengthen communities, and provide vital support to individuals facing some of life’s toughest challenges. Below are the organizations we have contributed to over the years.
2022 – Aura Freedom International
For our inaugural Spark Invitational Golf Tournament, we proudly supported Aura Freedom International, a grassroots women’s organization dedicated to ending gender-based violence and human trafficking. Through education, advocacy, training, and survivor-centered initiatives, Aura Freedom works in Canada and South Asia to advance gender equality, empower marginalized women, and create a world where all women and girls live free from violence.
2023 – Sue McLay’s Fight Like a Girl (Royal LePage Shelter Foundation)
Our second annual tournament supported Sue McLay’s Fight Like a Girl program, benefiting the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. With violence against women remaining a critical issue, Sue’s self-defense initiative empowers women through education, confidence-building, and community engagement. Her passion, shaped by her karate background and experience in a male-dominated industry, drives meaningful impact and supports shelters across Canada.
2024 – Sue McLay’s Fight Like a Girl (Royal LePage Shelter Foundation)
In 2024, we continued our commitment to Sue McLay’s Fight Like a Girl program. Once again benefiting the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, this cause addresses the ongoing and urgent need to support women facing violence. Sue’s leadership and dedication provide women with vital tools for safety, empowerment, and resilience.
2025 – After Breast Cancer
For our 4th Annual Spark Invitational, we are honoured to support after BREAST CANCER, an organization chosen by Carolyn Perry of Get a Better Mortgage in recognition of her generous contributions to our 2024 fundraising efforts. After BREAST CANCER provides essential post-mastectomy items such as bras, camisoles, and breast prostheses, to women who cannot otherwise afford them. As survival rates rise, so does the need for programs focused on quality of life and recovery. This organization ensures that women facing financial hardship receive the dignity, comfort, and support they deserve on their journey after treatment.
2026 – To Be Announced
Our 2026 charitable partner will be announced soon as we continue our commitment to supporting meaningful causes that uplift and strengthen our community.
